My latest SQL Server Magazine commentary discussed the fact that many people are reluctant to spend money for technical education. You can read it here: http://www.sqlmag.com/Articles/ArticleID/102670/102670.html?Ad=1
In that commentary, I could only mention peripherally that I have a vested interest in the topic, as I primarily make my living ...

In case you missed Kalen's post, we're excited to announce that she will be joining us here on the East Coast in October to deliver her SQL Server 2005/2008 Internals and Query Tuning seminar. This is, to my knowledge, the most advanced public SQL Server course to be offered in the Boston area in the last 5 years, and this is the first time that ...

I receive a lot of requests for classes on the East Coast, and I am very pleased to announce my first new public training partner in the US in more than 5 years! Since I am drastically cutting back on my travel, this will probably be my last new public training partner. I am excited to be able to offer my SQL Server 2005/2008 Internals and ...

I just got back from New York, where I filmed Lesson 3 in my DVD series. This one was on the Logging and Recovery. I am finally getting the hang of this whole filming thing, and we finally finished one before it got too dark outside. So Chuck and I went outside and filmed a commercial. It was great fun! Maybe I'll do more of those, and forget all ...

Most of my trips to the Southern Hemisphere have been in my summer, or their winter, which doesn't lend itself to the best weather conditions. Although on my last trip, I was able to take a week holiday with my husband and travel North to the Whitsunday Islands, where the weather was wonderful even in the middle of winter, as you can ...

I thought I would be able to post this as a special Independence Day announcement, but it wasn't final until July 6th. Then I was teaching for 5 solid days the following week, so now on Monday I am making my announcement.
I am no longer working with Solid Quality Learning (or Solid Quality Mentors, as they have changed their name ...
