&lt;P&gt;Reasons cited include :&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Deployment considerations (some enterprises prohibit IIS on database servers).&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Better configuration.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Better resource management.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;
