What does my SQL Connections schedule look like?

Like at PASS, I will have various responsibilities at SQL Connections in Las Vegas next week - aside from taking in some great sessions. Please be sure to come by the SQL Sentry booth during expo hall hours. We have some great swag that you'll find useful, and of course we'd love to hear any feedback you have on Event Manager, Performance Advisor for SQL Server and Analysis Services, or our new and free execution plan tool, Plan Explorer. Other than the booth, there aren't quite as many extra-curricular events as there are at PASS, but in case you're wondering where I will try to be in each time slot, if the situation allows:

Tuesday, November 2nd

Tuesday has been dubbed "Microsoft Day" and it starts off with Quentin Clark's keynote. I will be live blogging from the keynote, and then attending these sessions if possible:

11:30 - 12:30 SMS02 : Planning, Implementing and Supporting SQL Server Virtualization : Ross Mistry

2:00 - 3:00 SMS03 : Largest Mission Critical Deployments of SQL Server : Srik Raghavan / Kevin Cox

3:45 - 4:45 SMS08 : T-SQL Features from a Solution Perspective : Tobias Ternstrom / Joachim Hammer

If I had to pick one session from Tuesday to attend, it would be Tobias' and Joachim's session on T-SQL. In fact I'm a little sad that one is only an hour.

Wednesday, November 3rd

Wednesday is a packed day, with a lot of conflicting sessions that I haven't quite decided on yet. Here are my dilemmas:

11:45 - 1:00 SDB303 : VLDB: Recovering from Isolated Disasters : Kimberly Tripp
SDB205 : Selecting and Sizing Hardware for OLTP Performance : Glenn Berry

2:30 - 3:45 SDB304 : Storage for the DBA : Denny Cherry
SDB204 : Automating PBM using PowerShell : Allen White

4:30 - 5:45 SDV306 : Index Internals : Kimberly Tripp
SDV207 : Mitigating AdHoc Query Issues in SQL Server 2008 : Ronald Yenko

Since I can't even pick a single session in one time slot, it would be impossible right now for me to pick a single must-see session for the entire day.

Thursday, November 4th

Thursday is a lighter day:

8:00 - 9:15 SDB310 : Dr. DMV for High Volume OLTP Workloads : Glenn Berry

9:30 - 10:45 SDB203 : Managing SQL Server System and Performance Data with PowerShell : Allen White

11:45 - 1:00 SDB407 : Undocumented Tools and Trace Flags : Paul Randal

I think my "pick one session" choice here would be Paul's session on undocumented tools and trace flags. And an honorable mention goes to Paul's DBA Mythbusters session at 8:00.

IMPORTANT NOTE: At 2:15 on Thursday, you'll want to gather around the SQL Sentry booth in the expo hall for a MAJOR giveaway.
