    Cube collection error -

Suddenly seeing a brand new error connecting to SQL 2000 cubes in a single OLAP database - the other databases don't throw the error.  Searches online have turned up nothing.  From Excel, the messages looks like this:

"Excel was unable to get necessary information about this cube.  The cube might have been reorganized or changed on the server.

Contact the OLAP cube administrator and, if necessary, set up a new data source to connect to the cube."

"Excel cannot connect to your database with the driver you specified in your data source.  The driver does not support OLAP-provider capabilities required by Excel.  Consult your system administrator or contact your OLAP database vendor."

From the SharePoint page, the message is more cryptic:

"The cubes collection has been updated on this server. ****** at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.AdomdUtils.EnsureCacheNotInvalid.MetadataCacheState state, GetInvalidatedMessageDelegate msgDelegate) at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.ObjectMetadataCache.Microsoft.AdomdClient.IObjectCache.CheckCacheIsValid () at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.CacheBasedCollection.CheckCache() at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.AdomdConnection.get_Cubes() at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.AdomdConnection.GetObjectData(SchemaObjectType schemaObjecType, String cubeName, String uniqueName) at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.Member.PopulateParentLevel() at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.Member.InternalGetChildren(Int64 start, Int64 count, String[] properties, MemberFilter[] filters) at Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.Member.GetChildren() at ExecutiveReporting.FilterPickerDialog.PopulateTreeView(Member member, TreeNode parentNode) at ExecutiveReporting.FilterPickerDialog.PopulateTree(Object sender, EventArgs e). Please check and enter correct values in web part properties
