New util proc: sp_tableinfo

Some of you might use my sp_indexinfo to easily get lots of details about the indexes in a database. I added an sp_tableinfo with info rolled up to table level. This allow to quickly see the largest tables in a database and things like that. Check it out at http://www.karaszi.com/SQLServer/util_sp_tableinfo.asp.

The rowcount seems a bit off when the table contains LOB data.

Try it against:

create table t1 (i1 int, c1 varchar(max))

insert into t1 values (1,replicate('1',8000))

Thanks Peter. You are absolutely right. I have modified the procedure to handle BLOB and row overflow data. Hopefully it is more correct now. :-)
