&lt;p&gt;Thanks for another great post. &amp;nbsp;I'm always learning something... I never realized that an IAM scan was even available... yet another reason that it's a big mistake to make any kind of assumption on the order of a result set (when you don't specify an ORDER BY).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I marvel at the complexity and depth of the optimizer... and I marvel at your continued excellent output.&lt;/p&gt;
