SQL Intersection Conference, Las Vegas MGM Grand 10-13 November 2014

SQLintersection2014I am very pleased to announce that I will be speaking at the SQL Intersection conference in Las Vegas again this year.

This time around, I am giving a full-day workshop, "Mastering SQL Server Execution Plan Analysis" as well as a two-part session, "Parallel Query Execution" during the main conference.

The workshop is a pre-conference event, held on Sunday 9 November (straight after this year's PASS Summit). Being on Sunday gives you the whole Monday off to recover and before the main conference kicks off on Tuesday.

The workshop itself is an updated and enhanced version of the (record-setting) pre-conference full day session I presented at PASS Summit 2013 in Charlotte. If you weren't one of the 180+ people that came along that day, this is a great chance to learn about query optimization and execution plan analysis to an advanced level.

The seats are (truly!) very limited, so you are guaranteed a more personal experience than you would have had at Summit 2013. Please also note that this is a level 300-500 workshop, so it's not really suitable for people completely new to SQL Server. If you are a regular reader of my articles here and at, you will know what level of material to expect already :)

There is an option to attend just the workshop ($499), or you can combine it with entry to the full six-in-one conference event (and/or additional pre- or post-conference workshops):

Speaking of the main event, check out the list of SQL Intersection speakers:

You can find more details (including a full schedule) on the conference website. There are early bird and other special offers available if you register by August 18, 2014.

Hope to see you there!
