Looking for a laugh? Don't miss this website!

Every time I hear about someone emailing the SA password to the entire GAL or a vendor that ships a product that has one connection using SA, I'm reminded of this website:

Spend a few minutes there and have a laugh at someone else's expense.  And if, heaven forbid, you're actually doing something that is depicted at this website, take it as a strong hint that you should rethink your situation.

I'm a Golden Rule kind of guy, yet when I laugh at things such as this, I'm reminded of a German word for which there is no English equivalent: Schadenfreude--taking pleasure at the misery of others.

My favorite new geekly publication, Redmnond Developer News

has a regular feature nominally called "DevScope The lighter side of development"; however, all the article titles are prefaced with this:  "DevDisaster:...".  See the archive of the horror stories for yourself here:

Engineering discipline, appropriately applied, would have averted many of these disasters.
