Did You Know? 53 SQL Server MVPs Give Away Their Royalties!

You've probably already read about the SQL Server MVP Deep Dives book, which will be making its debut at PASS in November.

Many of my friends and colleagues have blogged about it already.  But just in case…

SQL Server MVP Deep Dives is an all-volunteer book. All author proceeds are going to WarChild.org – an organization that helps children traumatized by war. Because this is a book for charity, Manning Publications wanted to also donate and gave us a higher than normal royalty. In addition, if you purchase the book through this link: www.SQLServerMVPDeepDives.com then the purchase will also count toward Warchild's Manning affiliate account and Warchild will receive an extra 10% of the purchase price.

If you purchase from the website TODAY  (the end of Sept) and use the code pop0928 at the checkout, you can save 50%.

If you’re going to PASS: The first printed copies will be shipped directly to the PASS Summit Bookstore, where we’re planning an official book launch. If you want to get your copy signed by every author at PASS then you can purchase a copy at the PASS Bookstore.

THANK YOU!

There would be no need for charities like WarChild if the Americans stopped waging illegal wars!

MHZ seemed to miss the genesis of WarChild... I think they started in the 90s and have a lot of focus on the multiple wars active across our globe. More than Iraq and Afghanistan... I could take up 30 minutes simply typing conflicts that have happened since they started and are actively going on across our globe.... Regardless of where you stand on the global war on terror, this organization does a necessary work whether code pink agrees with the war or not.

How sad it is to see that instead of being glad that people like us (MVP, MCT, MCP or whatever letters you have) are willing to help a cause (whatever that is) and trying to imitate that behavior, you ended discussing the war issue.

Last time I checked this wasn't a political blog. It IS a technology blog, so please don't loose the perspective.

Congrats to all the people that participated in the book.

Cheers,

I think this SQL Server MVP Deep Dives book will be a good one for all the experts.

Regarding the next one is looks to be an intense book about war.
