Geek City: Christmas Present from PSS

I rarely just make a post that is a link to someone else's blog post, but this one is too good to allow anyone to miss. So if you haven't seen any other announcements about this one, you'll see it here.

Two of the incredible guys in Product Support Services for SQL Server at Microsoft have released a set of tools that could change your life!

Check out the RML Utilities here:

http://blogs.msdn.com/psssql/archive/2007/12/18/rml-utilities-for-microsoft-sql-server-released.aspx

(RML stands for Replay Markup Language which is the XML used by these tools
to determine how to replay a set of SQLTrace files.)

Thanks Keith and Bob!

Have fun, everyone!

This is definitely a toolset worth looking into. I did notice, though, that the title of the accompanying help doc is 'Precision Performance', but the picture on the title page is all blurry and not precise. Not sure if it's a joke I don't get.

Thanks, Kevin. I think there's been some updating as well. The Christmas present is the public availability... so everyone can use them!
