And I am going to use my blog to claim one of the sacred rights of motherhood, which is to brag about my children.
My daughter is an award-winning Food Blogger with an incredible blog, for those of you who like to make or even eat food.
For the past 4 years, the food bloggers of the world have joined together and donated their time and money for an incredible humanitarian effort. They have been holding a raffle and raising money for the UN's World Food Program and this year they are earmarking the money received to help support a lunch program in drought-stricken Lesotho. Each food blogger donates something food-related, such as a cookbook, a kitchen item, or even something edible! When you donate money, you can choose which of the donated items you would like to win.
Using the Internet to raise awareness of issues like this, as well as to raise money, is one of the most incredible uses of technology that I can imagine.
Since so many fabulous prizes are being donated, your chances of winning are excellent. (Last year, for a $100 donation, I ended up winning 3 prizes!)
Will you help?
You can get full details of how to enter the raffle on my daughter's blog, The Traveler's Lunchbox, as well as see what she is donating. Or you can go straight to the donation page.
