Inside SQL 2005: The Final Frontier

Oops, I mean the Final Volume...

Inside SQL Server 2005: Query Tuning and Optimization

There is no rest for the weary. I will be turning in the outline for the 4th volume of Inside SQL Server 2005 this week. This volume will be a collaborative effort. I am absolutely delighted that two of my colleagues at Solid Quality Learning have agreed to each write a chapter. Thank you, Ron Talmage and Andy Kelly.

In addition, I am honored that three of the people on the SQL Server development team at Microsoft, whom I have worked with closely in the past, and know more about SQL Server that I could ever imagine knowing, have also agreed to write material for the new book. Thank you, Lubor Kollar, Sunil Agarwal and Cesar Galindo-Legaria.

There’s still plenty left for me to write, however, but having this level of quality help means the book might be done by next Spring, before I have to start thinking too much about Katmai.
