One thing that I found in using SSDT was that the Refactoring seems to take place somewhat even without using the explicit &amp;quot;Refactor&amp;quot; operation. Renaming a column caused a refactor log to be generated when we did that at one time. Of course, we also ended up renaming it back to the original name so I ended up killing that change from the refactor log rather than go through several rename operations. &amp;nbsp;That refactoring is great for actual column renames instead of the standard create table, copy data, drop original table method that SQL seems to like so much.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Great introductory article for SSDT and the Declarative model. I'll be sharing it with some people on our team who would probably find it useful.&lt;/p&gt;
