SQL Social - Kent

This is a short blog post to give a shout out to to the inaugural SQL Social event in Kent, England that is happening on 18th August 2010. For details go to: http://sqlsocialkent20100818.eventbrite.com/

Here’s the agenda:

  • 7:00 Dave Ballantyne (blog|twitter) - Meet and greet - Pass Overview
  • 7:15 Neil Hambly (blog|twitter) – Replication
  • 8:30 Allan Mitchell (blog|twitter), SQL Server MVP - Complex Event Processing (CEP)

Should be worth going to even if its only to throw insults at the northern monkey (that’s Allan) who thinks he’s got the minerals to present at an inaugural meeting of a southern SQL Server user group Smile

If you live in Kent and are not able to readily make it to the various SQL Server related events that happen in London and/or around the rest of the country then this will be a great way to dive headlong into the burgeoning SQL Server community. Its being run by Dave Ballantyne who has been a long time contributor to the London SQL Server user group – kudos to Dave for getting a SQL Server community off the ground in Kent.

Good luck to Dave, Neil and Allan for what I’m sure will be a great event!
