I’ve been blogging for a few years now at http://blogs.conchango.com/jamiethomson but if you read my last post The curtain falls you’ll know that due to some upcoming changes in my working life I needed a new pasture and Adam graciously allowed me to join the massed ranks of learned bloggers at http://SQLBlog.com.
So, what will you get from me? Well my main focus, like most people on SQLBlog, is SQL Server. More specifically its the BI technologies within SQL Server and more specifically still its SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). I believe SSIS to be a highly capable tool with some great features but one which also has its share of pain points – I hope to cover both in depth here. Aside from SSIS and SQL Server my interests lie in data modelling, data services, data integration … basically any discipline that can have the word “data” pre-pended to it so expect a sprinkling of some other stuff thrown in for good measure.
