The Bit Bucket (Greg Low): IDisposable

Ramblings of Greg Low (SQL Server MVP, MCM and Microsoft RD) - SQL Down Under

May SolidQ Journal is out early!

We're finally getting the SolidQ Journal out earlier in the month! It's now available at: http://www.solidq.com/sqj.

This month, I've continued my 3 part series on SQL Server encryption by specially covering column-based encryption. Next month, I'll complete it by covering encryption key hierarchies and transparent database encryption.

Herbert Albert and Gianluca Hotz dive into reporting on SQL Server Agent jobs and a guest interview with Marino Posadas discusses the creation of business models around cloud-based services.

Miguel Lopez looks at how you migrate data into SQL Azure and Antonio Soto describes the new paradigm provided by Office 365.

Finally, it's great to see Douglas McDowell with an article that talks about taking a fresh look at Self-Service BI within your organization.

All in all, it looks like a great read again this month, and as always, the best part is that it's free.
