&lt;p&gt;Thanks for sharing. Have you thought about using an adjustable height desk at all? I know you tried the shelf thing, but it didn't exactly work height-wise for you. With an adjustable height desk (at least the one I use anyway) you can adjust it to any height, no matter how tall or short you are.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I also like that you can just push a button and it goes from standing to sitting, so you don't have to move all of your stuff and stop your task just to take a seat when you want to.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Just thought you might want to consider it! My recommendation is a NextDesk-- that's what I use. I haven't really been able to find anything else like it on the market and I have been looking! (which is how I came across your post.)&lt;/p&gt;
