The PASS Board Election Review Committee

Introduction

In response to concerns about the PASS Board election process, PASS has formed the Election Review Committee (ERC).

The members of the ERC are:

My Thoughts

As a community member, I voiced my opinion about the PASS Board 2010 elections process in these posts:

If you read nothing else I wrote on this topic, please read that last link: It includes an analysis of the data published by PASS from the elections process in 2010.

Conclusion

I want the PASS Board to trust and respect the community. I would like to see the PASS Board Elections process and procedures reflect trust in and respect for the community.

I hope the Elections Review Committee is able to move the PASS Board in this direction.

Andy, I read those posts as you wrote them and echoed similar thoughts in my own. As we put information out, especially as we ask for community input, please hit us up with your thoughts and views. Engineers usually design good processes and see where any process can be improved and you're an engineer. :-)

PASS HQ - Governance

p.s. While I'm helping out with logistics and management, I am not a member of the ERC. The Committee's substantive functions are completely independent of PASS HQ.
