Five Days of Intense SSIS Training in December

Introduction

I am so excited about delivering five - yes Five! - days of intense SSIS training 6-10 Dec 2010. The class is the five-day version of From Zero To SSIS!

I <3 SSIS...

... and it shows. I'm passionate about SSIS and about training. It took a solid year to write this course. In fact, it wasn't so much written as it was designed. I've been privileged to spend time with a lot of SSIS gurus, and I know this course takes a different approach than most. For those reasons, I believe you will get more out of this course than others.

I've posted a course outline here and there's a survey about SSIS Training Locations here.

In Farmville

I can hear you thinking "Why Farmville, Andy?" I'm so glad you asked! I used to deliver training as a subcontractor to another company. I would often fly somewhere, set up, and start the class - only to learn the attendees had flown in as well. Sometimes it made perfect sense: I would go somewhere and the class would consist of local people. Other times, people would fly from North Carolina to Oregon to get training with a guy from Virginia!

Whenever I travel I end up driving to the hotel for an hour or more most of the time. I don't mind, it's part of the deal. You can fly into Richmond International Airport (RIC) and be in Farmville in about 75 minutes. If you fly into Lynchburg Virginia (LYH), you can be here in 45 minutes. Farmville has a quaint historic downtown area with shops and restaurants. Longwood University is in town and Hampden-Sydney College is five minutes outside of town. Because it's a college town, there's plenty of food available. But food won't be an issue, at least not breakfast and lunch. My lovely bride Christy will be catering!

So why Farmville? I want you to get the absolute best value for your (or your company's) training dollar. I want you all to myself. That's why I'm limiting the class to the first eight people who sign up. I know I can teach you SSIS. Farmville may surprise you - you may like it. And it's roughly an hour from the airport when you arrive and another hour back when you leave, if you need to fly to get here.

Conclusion

Come on over to Farmville. I am here to help™. Learn some SSIS.
